Affiliation Options:
Commission-Based
Getting licensed as a Registered Representative with the NASD to offer commission-based products such as mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and unit investment trusts.
Fee Planning
Registering with H.D. Vest Advisory Services as an Independent Advisory Representative to offer hourly planning services, investment plans for a flat fee, and the complete line of H.D. Vest advisory solutions.
Partners Program
Within the Partners Program, Referring Advisors provide their clients with an opportunity to meet their financial needs through referral to a qualified H.D. Vest Field Advisor. This is an incredible opportunity to increase your value-added services, your personal satisfaction and your client satisfaction, retention and referrals.
How You Are Paid
Commission-Based Services
Commissions on securities and insurance products are aggregated to arrive at the payout rate, based on your rolling gross (your last 12 months' production).
Mutual fund commissions are typically around 5% of the gross purchase amount. Equity commissions usually are between 1% and 2% of the transaction amount. You are paid your payout percentage of the commissions generated from that particular transaction.
Fee Planning Services*
H.D. Vest Advisory ServicesSM are provided to clients on a fee basis. Fees generally vary from 1% to 2.5% of the value of the assets, paid quarterly. You receive competitive compensation based on the value of the assets in the portfolio.
