IRVING, TEXAS (February 13, 2008) –Vest Advisors now save time, paper and postage by electronically submitting their client paperwork through new Remote Capture technology. H.D. Vest Financial Services® successfully implemented the next phase of its Paperless Office initiative and plans additional enhancements to eliminate an H.D. Vest Advisor’s need to maintain any client file documentation in paper form by the end of 2008.
Instead of mailing or faxing paperwork documents to H.D. Vest Operations for processing, Advisors use scanners in their office to create electronic copies of account paperwork. Then through new Remote Capture technology, Advisors securely submit these documents directly to H.D. Vest through HDVLink®, the company’s website for Advisors. The paperwork’s electronic images are then routed through the H.D. Vest processing areas, and Advisors track the paperwork’s progress on HDVLink. H.D. Vest stores the documents electronically per regulatory guidelines, and Advisors and their clients experience even faster processing times.
“We piloted Remote Capture technology to a small group of Advisors during the fall and successfully completed the rollout to all Advisors prior to tax season.” said Roger Ochs, H.D. Vest president. “This new Paperless Office component allows Advisors to provide their clients with faster service by eliminating the traditional wait time of delivery services.”
H.D. Vest Advisor John Sweeden of Richardson, TX, is thrilled with this latest enhancement and the progress of the Paperless Office.
“We have been actively using eFileCabinet for several years, and the addition of this capability (Paperless Office Remote Capture) fits very well,” said Sweeden. “Being able to view client documents online increases our ability to quickly resolve any of the dozens of questions that come up on a regular basis and that used to require trips to the file cabinets and searches through documents.”
This year H.D. Vest plans more Paperless Office enhancements including check scanning capabilities, as well as historical document scanning. Ultimately, this initiative will eliminate an H.D. Vest Advisor’s need to maintain any client file documentation in paper form by the end of 2008.
